“ I was in the Madison area for only a couple of days (April 21-23) and this location was one that I looked forward to checking out. I ordered my meal online and selected "pay at store", and then forgetting my wallet before arriving since I was a little rushed trying to get food before my event. I thought I left my wallet in the car and they let me go back to the car, and it was not there. When I came back in to explain what had happened, I said I could retrieve my wallet from the hotel and come back to pay for my food. One of the other customers even offered to cover my meal, and I said thank you but declined since this was my own error. The staff said not to worry, they close at 8:30pm, and graciously allowed me to take my food prior to payment. When I got back to my hotel room and had my wallet, I called the location right away to let them know I would like to pay for it over the phone and they had no problem doing so. Even though I don't live in this area, I was blown away by their kindness. If I ever get back to the Madison area, I will for sure make a point to stop here again. Food was phenomenal, service was fantastic. 10/10. ”

“ We love Freska, it's one of our favorite take out spots in Madison. It's fresh, healthy, and something a little different from the ordinary. Favorites are the salmon, the veggie slaw, the chickpea salad, the spicy feta dip, the lemon rice soup...everything we've tried so far has been great. ”

“ One of the few local places you can get a tasty, healthy meal at an excellent value. I think it's best to order in person so you can catch any mistakes that may occur vs choosing the pickup or delivery option. The staff is all hispanic and I found them to be perfectly friendly and accommodating. Though my order took a while to complete, I wasn't in any rush and was fine with the wait. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate which was personally delivered to my table. I chose to dine in and was happy with the generous portion I received. You get to add from a wide selection of up to 4 "toppings" in addition to pita slices, your favorite sauce, and either rice or couscous. It was so delicious– I took half home for another meal. I'll definitely return again soon! ”

“ The first experience was delightful. Vegan and vegetarian option available. The portion sizes enough for two people. Fresh and deliciously prepared to your order. I’d say one of the few places around Madison that offer healthy options for both lunch and dinner. Meat lovers will not be disappointed either. One note on the meat that they cut off the frozen large peace isn’t authentic. It is a mix of who knows what and frozen to be then reheated and trimmed off. The authentic cuisine in Mediterranean countries use large pieces of actually fresh or marinated meat. Not mixture of mystery meats from wholesalers. ”

“ Freska is one of our go-to places. The food is always excellent, reasonably priced, and fresh. I can often get two meals out of any standard plate meal. The food is filling but not too heavy, and ordering is easeful. If you're looking for a quick bite, this is a great option! ”
